Buying With Meridian
How to bid.
Bidding with Meridian Auction Gallery is simple and convenient. Our auctions are conducted live online only, allowing bidders to participate from anywhere. We welcome visitors for scheduled in-person preview days, but do not offer in-person bidding. Please review our Conditions of Sale before bidding.
Place advance bids
Browse our online catalog and submit advance bids before the auction. Our bidding system will automatically bid on your behalf up to your maximum amount as competing bids are received.
Bid live online
Our live bidding console opens approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled auction start time. Registered bidders can follow the auction in real time and place bids online as each lot is offered.
Absentee bidding
Buyers may submit absentee bids by emailing info@meridianauctiongallery.com with the auction date, lot number, maximum bid amount and contact information. All absentee bids must be received and confirmed before the auction begins.
In-person previews
Meridian Auction Gallery offers scheduled in-person preview days before each auction so you can examine items prior to bidding. Preview dates and hours are listed with each auction. Outside scheduled preview days, the gallery is open by appointment.
Payment and invoicing
Successful bidders will receive an invoice following the auction with payment instructions, applicable buyer’s premium and taxes. Payment is required in accordance with our Conditions of Sale.
Pickup and shipping
Purchased property may be collected by appointment only, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Buyers are asked to arrange collection within 10 days following the auction. For buyers requiring shipping, Meridian can provide a list of preferred independent shipping companies. Buyers arrange packing, transportation and associated charges directly with their chosen shipper.
